The Role

If you’re passionate about digital marketing and want to play a key role in marketing a new business software innovation, then we want to hear from you. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our growing team to manage the company’s online and customer facing presence.

The right candidate should be highly motivated, creative and passionate about connecting with current and future customers. That passion comes through as he/she engages with customers on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of converting leads and prospects into enthusiastic customers.

Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to a Social Media Manager’s success. An essential component is communicating the company’s brand in a positive, authentic way what will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected buyers. You will be instrumental in managing the company’s brand image and content-related assets.

This role will be based at Glas Data’s office in Penryn, Cornwall.

Responsibilities

The Social Media Manager will administer the company’s social media marketing, advertising and CRM. Administration includes but is not limited to:

  • Become a passionate, engaging evangelist of the brand across social media spaces, and events.
  • Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics.
  • Develop a strong brand awareness and online reputation
  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities
  • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content
  • Create a regular publishing schedule
  • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
  • SEO (search engine optimisation) and generation of inbound traffic
  • Cultivation of leads and sales
  • Strong customer community development, leadership and participation (both online and offline)
  • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
  • Product tutorial creation
  • Lead product workshops and trade events
  • Analyse key metrics, tweaking strategy as needed
  • Monthly insight and ROI reports

Skills and Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • A highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers
  • Familiarity with HubSpot CRM
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experienced in web analytics (Google Analytics)
  • Enthusiastic about social media and SEO
  • Excellent and creative use of the English language
  • Copywriting experience desirable
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communicator, well developed relationship-building capabilities and effective collaborative skills
  • Agricultural or agri-services sector experience beneficial
