The Role

Glas Data is seeking a technology lead to come and take ownership of their flagship product on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be an experienced software engineer with a passion for architecture, scalability, performance and crafting highly successful software engineering teams.

Glas Data’s product is an innovative new way to aggregate, present and analyse agricultural data at huge scale. The product is built around the concepts of inclusivity, availability, simplicity and performance. We are looking for a passionate and driven technology lead to drive this young product into an exciting emerging market.

As well as renumeration of £50,000+ there is opportunity for both equity and eventual promotion to Glas Data’s board as CTO, for the right candidate. We are a flexible company and welcome new ideas, philosophies and work styles.

This role will be based at Glas Data’s office in Penryn, Cornwall.


  • Architect, build and maintain Glas Data’s core platform
  • Explore new technologies and product directions with CEO and COO in alignment with the company’s long term strategy
  • Build, mentor and manage a highly talented, productive and happy software engineering team
  • Deliver features and updates in accordance with company direction and requirements
  • Help CEO and COO define future direction and implementation of the product
  • Ensure all software developed is held to the highest quality standards

Skills and Qualifications

  • Signifiant software engineering experience
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring less experienced engineers
  • Deep familiarity with Glas Data’s current technology stack (NoSQL, React.js, AWS, .NETCore 2.x, Xamarin)
